The Friends supported the Monona Public Library through:
Children/Tweens/Teens Programs & Services:
Programming
Early literacy (story time materials, STEAM programs, small to medium scale performers: $1800
Elementary-Teen (makerspace program materials, Graphic Novel Book Club, ArtStudio Kids, Gaming Night, Book Scouts: $1800
Special large-scale performers for high-yielding events: $2000
Summer Reading Program (prizes/incentives, marketing materials, teen volunteer gifts, outreach): $2000
Space improvements/DIY Activities: space improvements that support different dichotomies of play and learning. Designed to engage the whole family to support child development and education. Funds to continue enhancing the Children & Teen areas: $1700

3 Seasonal Chefs Programs: $1350
4 Paid Speakers on Misc. Subjects (history, music, acting, etc): $1800
Creating & Making: to offset cost of craft supplies & hire paid presenters: $1000
Summer Reading: prizes and incentives: $1000
Shared Library Programming Items: items for outreach and in-house programs (silhouette cutter, portable speaker, shared programming resources, etc): $500

Loud in the Library (“Out of This World”), January 25, 2025 - raised over $23,000 - a 45% increase from the previous year!
